K N Pizza

The guy that owns this hole-in-the-wall is very passionate and picky about his food. My friends and I have eaten shawarma wraps here numerous times with no complaints. For $6.50 you get a decent size wrap with lots of veg and decent amount of meat, plus he makes all his pitas fresh onsite. Various style Baclava are all good. Pizza is a little light on cheese but original choices of topping combos add interest. I asked about Tabouleh and he said he only makes it once a month because getting the parsley ready is very labour-intensive.

Their schwarma's are toasty & hot because they make their pitas on-site. Truly a rare & unexpected find in what looks from the outside like a typical dollar pizza joint. It's unfortunate that there isn't enough interest in middle eastern cuisine in the area that they have to make their rent money slagging dollar/slice pizza to local youth. It's not until you actually stop by that you discover what more they have to offer.

The middle eastern fair they do serve is amongst the best & freshest you'll find this side of Behruit.

Consistency can be an issue, as while you know what you're going to get, the generousity of the servings will be different depending on who's serving that day, but the flavour is always excellent. Now that I no longer live in Richmond I still find an excuse to travel there every once in a while, but I miss it being my regular after work stop when I didn't feel like cooking.

Best schwarma I've had in British Columbia, and I dare say I've tried them all.
